Cook Brummer: the forgotten Dutch Schindler

Cook Brummer, the 'Dutch Schindler' saved tens of lives during the second world war. The flamboyant businessman, who led the parfumefactory Polak and Schwarz, helped employees, jewish and non-jewish, survive the war.

Today, two years after the broadcast of this documentary, Brummer became 'Righteous Among the Nations', the greatest honour by the State of Israel to describe non-Jews who risked their lives during the Holocaust to save Jews from extermination by the Nazis.
